This robot vacuum-mop is a good option for flat dwellers, as it carries the rubbish away in its own bin, and also uses a smaller docking station. Its app lets you set up different modes and monitor cleaning. The mopping feature is also impressive.
Its mapping and obstacle avoidance are impressive, and it is able to mops extremely well, picking up pet hair, spillages, and dirt. It also self-empties itself and self-cleans and refills its water tank.
Roomba Combination from iRobot
The iRobot Combo is a robot that is able to mop and vacuum. The iRobotCombo can't replace our Editors' Choice winner, the Deebot X1 Omni. It is more efficient at cleaning, and comes with an app for mobile devices that is more user-friendly however it's a great alternative. In our tests, it consistently picked up dirt of all kinds and sizes from hard floors and carpets. Its obstacle avoidance may not be as advanced as other systems like LiDAR or structured light, but it manages to prevent most collisions.
The Combo includes many of the same features that the J7 Plus has, such as an onboard acoustic sensor to determine the floor's type and AI-powered Navigation. However, it's not able to control suction power using a hand. It's also slightly less compact than the vac-only model and doesn't include self-emptying docks.
The Combo is one of my top choices for homes with a lot of space. Its sleek design is also among the best I've seen in the market. The matte black finish is more sophisticated than the metallic or glossy finishes of most competitors. iRobot also adds some more elegant features, such as a leather tab for opening the bin on board and a shelf to hold extra bags inside the dock.
